‘The Empowerment Project with Jeffrey Miller’ ™ is a Division of Jammin II Incorporated, the educational media company established to balance mainstream Media’s one dimensional depiction of the African American experience.  Launched in 1989 Jammin II Inc. was involved for more than sixteen years in the creation and distribution of groundbreaking, award winning television and responsible for the hit TV series: ‘TRANSITION’ and ‘The Edge with Jeffrey Miller’; the eye opening Documentary, ‘What’s Right, Detroit?’; the stunning 90 minute feature: ‘Jamaica, Paradise Unrealized’ and the riveting expose: ‘Criminal Justice in America; Pipeline to the Abyss’.

CEO Jeffrey Miller, the Executive Producer, Principal Writer and Host of Jammin II Inc.’s video projects relinquished a successful sales career in Corporate America, to begin the process of balancing mainstream media’s portrayal of the Black experience. He formed Jammin II Incorporated, which became a trendsetter in Black issues programming, and a heavy hitter in the struggle for full inclusion of “people of color” as valued U.S. citizens.

In 2003 Jammin II Incorporated expanded its scope to include media consulting and video production services for a diverse clientele including corporate, education and nonprofit institutions. In addition we’ve specialized in motivational seminar design with an emphasis on executive sales development, conflict resolution, effective communication techniques for entrepreneurs, delivering superior customer service and improving task/time management skills.

In 2008 Mr. Miller wrote, published and secured distribution for, ‘Up From the Under, What We Should Do Next’. This riveting, mind opening audio-book weaves a fascinating historical story, with a contemporary blend of events, and presents a step by step blueprint to follow for a Generation seeking the way up from ‘the under’; as in: underemployed, undereducated, underserved, undervalued and often under attack in their own community.

Since 2008 Jammin II Inc. has worked with Michigan agencies, schools and non-profits to design and implement an educational program for citizens stuck on the bottom of society’s barrel. For the past seven years we’ve facilitated a Self-Actualization and Personal Empowerment curriculum, designed to change the mindset of failure and alter the culture of ignorance that leads to ‘the under’.
